The Short story: The Roanoke College men's basketball team had 14 players get in the scoring column Tuesday night as the Maroons opened the 2025-26 season with a 90-38 win over visiting Christendom College. RC begins the season as the No. 10 ranked team in the D3hoops.com pre-season top 25 poll.

How it happened:  
*The Maroons netted the first eight points of the game and held a lead of 27-10 before a 20-0 run put the game out of reach 47-10 just before halftime.

Inside the numbers:
*Jackson Bell made the most of his 12 minutes of action with a game-high 13 points.
*Porter Stanley had nine points and five rebounds, while Caleb Franze, Marcus Morgan and Rylan Parkins each posted eight. Parkins also grabbed nine boards to tie for the game high.
*Ryan Truitt contributed seven points and a game-best five assists.
*Bobby Vander Woude tallied 11 points and eight rebounds for the Crusaders.
