The Short Story: Despite a second-half goal from junior Rebecca Carr, Shenandoah University defeated the Roanoke College women's soccer team 2-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament Quarterfinals.

How it happened:
*The Hornets scored two early goals, one six minutes in from McKenna Newcome, and the second by Kaitlyn Wahl at 13:24.
*SU led 2-0 at intermission.
*Carr struck at 64:50 to cut the Shenandoah lead to just one. She eluded her defender on the left side near the corner and fired a long shot just over the keeper's grasp and into the back of the net.
*The Maroons had a few chances but couldn't get the equalizer in the last 25 minutes.

Inside the numbers:
*Shenandoah had a 16-7 edge in shots and a slight 2-1 advantage in corner kicks.
*Grace Suchy made nine saves for the Maroons.
*Morgan Musselman made three stops for Shenandoah (11-6-3).
