The Short story: The Roanoke College women's volleyball team opened a five-match Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) homestand Friday night, but fell to unbeaten Virginia Wesleyan, ranked No. 22 in NCAA Division III this week, in three games.

*Emma Catoe hit a team-high nine kills and Haley Torbert had eight with two blocks.
*Makenzie Board handed out 23 assists with seven digs.
*Teagan Hubble had 14 digs.
