The Short Story: The game was scoreless for over 65 minutes, but the University of Lynchburg women's soccer team defeated Roanoke College 2-0 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.  
 
How It Happened:
*The game was even for the first 45 minutes and Roanoke nearly netted the game's first goal 65 minutes into play, but Rebecca Carr's blast from just outside the box hit the left post and bounced off.  Lynchburg's Morgan Oliver scored the game's first goal 40 seconds later, whose shot bounced in off the post.
* About 15 minutes later, Oliver scored again to put Lynchburg (7-1-1/2-0) up 2-0.
 
Inside The Numbers:
*Goalkeeper Grace Suchy made five saves on the day for the Maroons.
*Carr took four shots on goal in the effort for Roanoke.
*Kate Shepherd made seven saves for the Hornets.
*The Maroons held a slight 13-12 edge in shots and a 4-2 advantage in corner kicks.
