HOW IT HAPPENED

• Roanoke swept the three doubles matches to assume an early lead. Zach Kriebel and Federico Maccari took down Max Hammock and Braxton Fagan 8-6 at No. 1, John-Henry Herrington and Julio Marques dispatched Max Doyle and Evan Holzmacher 8-6 at No. 2, and Hardt Lesko and Jackson Wagner defeated Winston Chapman and William Adair 8-3 at No. 3.
• The Maroons triumphed in four of the six singles matches to secure the overall victory. Maccari beat Fagan 3-6, 6-4, 10-7 at No. 2, Lesko rolled past Chapman 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4, Herrington bested Holzmacher 6-3, 6-0 at No. 5, and Lance Beheler cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win over Adair at No. 6.
• The Yellow Jackets snagged points at No. 1 singles, where Hammock knocked off Kriebel 6-2, 6-3; and at No. 3, with Doyle recording a 6-3, 7-5 win over Marques.
