The Short Story: The Hornets collected an 8-1 win over Roanoke at the Elizabeth Campus Courts on Tuesday afternoon.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Lynchburg grabbed a 3-0 lead through doubles play. Levi Vigdorchik and Alex Rintoul slipped past Zach Kriebel and Federico Maccari 8-7 (1) at the top spot, while Patricio Zepeda and Sebastian Sierra defeated Julio Marques and John-Henry Herrington 8-2 at No. 2, and Shadi Kallel and Christian Zepeda bested Lance Beheler and Jackson Wagner 8-3 at No. 3.
• The Maroons claimed a point at No. 2 singles, where Maccari rallied past Kallel 5-7, 6-4, 10-8.
• But the Hornets rolled to the match victory by winning the other five singles matchups: Vigdorchik against Kriebel at No. 1 (6-1, 6-3), Sierra over Marques at No. 3 (6-3, 6-0), Rintoul against Lesko at No. 4 (6-3, 6-2), Christian Zepeda against Herrington at No. 5 (8-7 [6]), and Patricio Zepeda over Beheler at No. 6 (8-7 [5]).
