- The Marlins jumped out to a 3-0 advantage after doubles play. Ole Behrmann and Tudor Vlad beat Zach Kriebel and Federico Maccari 8-1 at No. 1, Rafael Rullan Zarraga and Hubert Parawa bested Julio Marques and John-Henry Herrington 8-2 at No. 2, and Sainandan Challagundla and Cam Perry knocked off Hardt Lesko and Lance Beheler 8-3 at No. 3.
- Virginia Wesleyan took care of all six singles contests in straight sets: Rullan Zarraga over Kriebel at No. 1 (6-3, 6-3), Behrmann against Maccari at No. 2 (6-3, 6-0), Vlad over Marques at No. 3 (6-1, 6-0), Challagundla against Lesko at No. 4 (6-3, 7-5), Stefan Zrnic over Herrington at No. 5 (6-2, 6-0), and Olaf Van der Stam against Beheler at No. 6 (6-3, 6-3).
