HOW IT HAPPENED
- Roanoke won all three doubles contests to assume a 3-0 advantage. Zach Kriebel and Federico Maccari slipped past Jesse Beck and Adam Warren 8-7 at No. 1, Julio Marques and Jackson Wagner knocked off Jake Erb and Ethan Luu 8-5 at the No. 2 spot, and Lance Beheler and Hardt Lesko teamed up for an 8-5 victory over Michael Schuetz and Jared Hostetter at No. 3.
- The Maroons then secured the match win with victories in the top three singles flights. Kriebel came from behind to defeat Beck 1-6, 6-3, 10-8 at No. 1, Maccari rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Warren at No. 2, and Marques bested Erb 6-4, 7-5 at No. 3.
- The Dutchmen claimed wins in the other three singles matches. Schuetz dispatched Lesko 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4, Colin Brusse claimed a 7-5, 6-3 win over Beheler at No. 5, and Luu overcame Jonathan Pratt 6-3, 6-2 at No. 6.
Up Next: The Maroons will return home to kick off ODAC play against Bridgewater on Tuesday. Match time is set for 4 p.m. on the Elizabeth Campus Courts.
