HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Maroons captured a 3-0 lead by sweeping doubles play. Federico Maccari and Zach Kriebel bested Cooper Wheeler and Damir Cuturic 8-5 at No. 1, Jackson Wagner and Julio Marques captured an 8-4 win over Derwin Merca and Vik Patel at No. 2, and Hardt Lesko and Lance Beheler cruised to an 8-1 victory over Colin Flack and Riley Fallon at No. 3.
- Roanoke proceeded to win five of the six singles matches: Maccari over Cuturic 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2, Marques against Merca 6-1, 6-7 (5), 10-5 at No. 3, Lesko over Patel 6-3, 7-5 at No. 4, Wagner against Flack 6-1, 6-3 at No. 5, and Marco Gustafson over Fallon 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.
- The Lions' solo point of the match came at No. 1 singles, where Wheeler defeated Kriebel by a 6-2, 6-2 count.
