HOW IT HAPPENED
- Roanoke swept the three doubles matches to snag a 3-0 advantage. Zach Kriebel and Federico Maccari cruised past Tripoom Jala and Gabriel Alvarez 8-1 at No. 1, Julio Marques and Jackson Wagner downed Will Davis and Jairo Herbas 8-2 at No. 2, and Lance Beheler and Hardt Lesko defeated Kevin Nester and Austin Brigman 8-4 at No. 3.
- Ferrum secured its lone point of the day at No. 1 singles, with Jala dealing Kriebel a 6-4, 7-5 setback.
- But the Maroons were dominant down the rest of the singles ladder, winning the other five matches in straight sets: Maccari over Alvarez at No. 2 (6-1, 6-0), Marques over Nester at No. 3 (6-1, 6-1), Lesko against Davis at No. 4 (6-0, 6-0), Wagner over Herbas at No. 5 (6-3, 6-0), and Beheler against Brigman at No. 6 (6-0, 6-3).
