The Short story: The Roanoke College men's volleyball team took the first, third and fourth sets Thursday evening to defeat visiting Virginia Wesleyan University 25-15, 24-26, 25-18, 25-17 in non-conference play from the Cregger Center.

The Maroons are now 8-6 on the season, surpassing their win total from the 2023 season with 15 matches remaining on the schedule.
 
Inside the numbers:
*Michael Cummins blasted a game-high 15 kills with just three errors for a .353 hitting percentage.
*Jackson Rutkowski had 12 kills and 10 digs while CJ Kingston had a team-best 11 digs.
*Davin Stevenson distributed 38 assists with nine digs.
*Kaeden Noble had 10 digs and Dominic Wheaton had four blocks.
*JaMarhe Wills, Matthew Sheppard and Landon Brinkley each had 11 kills for the Marlins (3-10).
