Gavin O'Malley scored a career-high 22 points Friday to lead the Roanoke College men's basketball team to a 93-73 win over Montclair State University (N.J.) in the Cruzin Classic.
Roanoke shot a season-best 67 percent from the field for the game (35-52).
How it happened:
* The Maroons trailed 14-10 seven minutes into the game and 21-17 with 8:42 left in the first half. Roanoke scored the next 12 points in a three-minute span to take a 29-21 lead and went ahead 40-28 at intermission.
*Roanoke led by double figures the entire second half.
Inside the numbers:
*O'Malley made 10-of-11 shots from the floor to post a game-high point total and grabbed six rebounds.

Joshua McClary had a full stat line of 19 points, eight rebounds, six assists and two steals.

Marcus Morgan had 15 points and four assists and
Jackson Bell had 14 points, four assists and two steals.
*Mike Jackson had a team-high 16 points for Montclair State (6-4).
