The Short Story:
The Roanoke College women's soccer team kept within one goal for over 68 minutes Tuesday, but top-seeded Washington & Lee University defeated the eighth-seeded Maroons 3-0 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Tournament Quarterfinals.

How it happened
*Sophie Berman got W&L on the board just 2:10 into the game, but the Generals couldn't extend the lead until late in the contest.
*Elizabeth Zimmerman scored at 68:13 and Helen Otteni added an insurance goal in the final three minutes.   

By the Numbers
*Grace Suchy made eight saves for Roanoke, one stop shy of her season high.
*MC Petrucelli had a shot on goal for the Maroons and Helene Miller and Lauren Rubino also had shots.
