The Short Story:
The Roanoke College women's soccer team held a one-goal lead with 20 minutes left Saturday, but the University of Lynchburg scored late to force a 1-1 draw in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
*Senior MC Petrucelli tapped in a cross from sophomore Rebecca Carr at 26:17 to put Roanoke ahead 1-0.
*The Maroons held edges in shots (6-5) and corner kicks (2-1) in the first half.
*Lynchburg tied the score with just under 20 minutes left in the game, as Sammie Rogstad lofted a free kick just over the goalie's reach.
*The Hornets had a corner kick with under a minute to play, but RC goalie Grace Suchy punched the ball away out of trouble to end the threat.  

BY THE NUMBERS
*Suchy made six stops in her 90 minutes in net to earn the tie.
*Meredith Bowers made five saves for Lynchburg (4-4-2/1-1-1).
