The Short Story:
Junior Emily Moffitt scored with just 49 seconds left on the game clock Wednesday evening to force a 2-2 tie for the Roanoke College women's soccer team at Ferrum College in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference contest.

HOW IT HAPPENED
*FC was awarded a penalty kick 20 minutes into the game and Bri Blitz converted.
*Blitz scored again after intermission to make it 2-0.
*Roanoke had a free kick just outside the box with 25 minutes left in the game and on the rebound the ball went in to the net off a Panther defender for an own goal.
*Moffitt wrapped a left footed corner kick over the goalie's outstretched hand for the equalizer.  

BY THE NUMBERS
*The Maroons held a 16-10 edge in shots and a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.
*Grace Suchy made four saves for Roanoke (4-7-4/4-1-2 ODAC).
*Ashli Wuss made seven stops for Ferrum (11-2-1/4-2-1). The Panthers have already surpassed the program record for wins in a season.
