No. 13 W&L gives RC women’s soccer first ODAC loss of season

The Game Facts:
Score: No. 13 Washington & Lee 3, Roanoke 0
Location: Salem, Va. (Kerr Stadium)

The Short story: The Roanoke College women's soccer team fell to No. 13 Washington & Lee University Saturday 3-0 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup.

The Maroons had not lost in ODAC action this season, and now are 2-1-1 in league play.

How it happened:
*The Generals got on the scoreboard first on a Roanoke own goal 15 minutes in.
*Avery Hannah scored five minutes later and Helen Otteni made the score 3-0 with a tally at 37:47.

Inside the numbers:
*Victoria Correll made six saves for Roanoke.  
*The Generals (9-1/4-0) had two goalies split time in net, making one save to post the shutout.

Up Next:
*Roanoke (2-6-3/2-1-1 ODAC) will be busy next week with three matches over Fall Break. The competition gets no easier, as third-ranked Christopher Newport University comes to Kerr Stadium for a non-conference matchup Tuesday at 5 p.m.
