The Short Story: The Maroons saw a 4-game home winning streak come to an end with a 69-44 ODAC loss to the Hornets.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Shenandoah jumped out to an early 12-3 lead behind eight first-quarter points from Shawnise Campbell. But the Maroons quickly clawed back into the game, getting two buckets from Madison Nereu and a pair of late 3-pointers from Jacquelyn DeJesse to assume a 13-12 advantage by the end of the period.
  • The lead changed hands several times early in the second stanza, and Roanoke edged back in front 17-16 on a Lauren Keel free throw with 6:23 to play. From there, though, the Hornets closed the period on an extended 17-4 run to go in front 33-21 at the break.
  • Shenandoah would maintain a double-digit advantage throughout the second half in rolling to the 25-point victory.
