The Short Story:  The Roanoke men's swim team jousted with the Knights of Southern Virginia on Saturday morning at Sweet Briar College. The Maroons championed the Knights with a 129-76 win. The dual was part of a meet with both women's team and the host Vixens.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The 200 medley relay was first up with a pair of Maroon teams taking the top two spots. Austin Hartsell, Logan Deal, Ryan Franceys, and Dyllan Hartman took the top spot in 1:52.98. Austin Nielsen, Tommy Nichols, Chris Snow and Nic Christiansen finished second in a time of 1:54.00
• Peyton Meyer won the 800 free in a time of 8:54.60
• Ethan Brewer took home the 200 free win with a time of 1:58.80 while Franceys was second in 2:00.25
• In the 200 IM, Snow finished first with a time of 2:18.07 with Davis Wheeler finishing second in 2:21.15.
• Deal won the 100 fly with a time of 1:00.97
• Hartmann touched the wall second in the 100 free with a time of 56.21.
• In the 100 back, Hartsell was runner-up in 1:03.71
• Two Maroons were at the top in the 400 free with Brewer winning in 4:18.52 and Meyer finishing second in 4:31.51.
• The 100 breaststroke saw Hartsell touching the wall first in 1:08.95 with Nichols finishing runner-up in 1:09.72, a personal best
• Regan Euker, Mack Calvert, Deal and Hartmann finished second in the 200 free relay with a time of 1:40.05
