The Short Story:  The Roanoke men's soccer team closed out their 2023 season with a 2-0 loss in the ODAC Tournament quarterfinals to Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday evening in Virginia Beach.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Marlins got on the board in the 23rd minute with a unassisted goal by Nate Mitchell
• Defense then took over until VWU scored a goal at 67:04 in the second half by Aria Kimiavi who took a pass from Josh Condit for the insurance goal.
• The Marlins advance to the ODAC semifinals with the 2-0 win

BY THE NUMBERS

• The Maroons took all seven of their shots, including four on goal, in the second half.
• Roanoke also took an identical number of seven corner kicks against the Marlins.
