The Lead: Roanoke hosted their cross-town rivals from Hollins at the Elizabeth Campus Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon. The Maroons swept the doubles matches for an early 3-0 lead. After singles play, Roanoke continued to stretch out their advantage as they picked up the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win over the Green and Gold, 8-1.

Women's Highlights:

• Lucy Collins and Halle Fernstrum picked up an 8-1 win at #1 doubles, as did the #2 duo of Julia Bassett and Margriet Bostoen. The Maroons would earn a sweep of the doubles matches when the team of Sophie Bartholomaus and Dana Meyer won, 8-0, without dropping a single game.
• Fernstrum was a 6-1 and 6-2 winner at the #2 singles spot while Bassett was a 6-1 and 6-0 winner at the #4 position.
• Bostoen (#3), Bartholomaus (#5), and Meyer (#6) won their matches in perfect fashion with 6-0 and 6-0 victories.

What's Next: The Roanoke women travel to Shenandoah on Tuesday for a match with the Hornets that is slated to start at 4:00pm.
