The Lead: Roanoke College made the trip to Illinois to compete in the, two-day, Pete Wilson Wheaton Invite, hosted by Wheaton College. The Maroons would claim 17^th spot in the 30-team field and individually, claim a pair of third-place finishes.

RC highlights:

• 125: Mac Cafurello – 6-1 and finished 3^rd. Cafurello lost an 8-6 decision and went to the consolation bracket. After a Bye, Mac would register five consecutive decisions to earn a spot in the 3^rd place match. In the consolation finals, Cafurello would earn a 2-1 decision over Nolan Mckittrick (Wisconsin-Platteville) to take home third-place honors.
• 184: Mahlic Sallah – 6-1 and finished 3^rd. In his first action for the Maroons, Sallah picked up a fall and then won by decision to earn a spot in the quarterfinals. After suffering his first defeat, a 3-1 decision to Antonio McCloud (Mount St. Joseph), Sallah won a pair of decisions.
