The Lead: The Roanoke College men's tennis team traveled to Lynchburg to face the Hornets on Sunday afternoon. After winning two of the three doubles matches, the Maroons would go on to sweep the individual matches for the 8-1 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) win.
Highlights:
- Jack Fishwick and Grayson White posted an 8-0 win at the top spot. At #2 doubles, Dalton Capobianco and Zach Kriebel gave Roanoke a 2-1 advantage with an 8-2 win.
- In singles play, #1 Fishwick took care of his opponent 6-1 and 6-2 while Capobianco went 6-3 and 6-0 at the #2 spot.
- #3 White cruised 6-2 and 6-0 with Kriebel winning 6-3 and 6-1 at #4.
- With wins at #5 and #6, the Maroons would sweep the singles matches for the 8-1 win. Thomas Hodges recorded a 6-0 and 6-4 win at #5 while Lance Beheler completed the sweep with a 7-5 and 6-0 win at #6.
Up next: The men will host Randolph-Macon next Sunday, March 27th, on the courts of the Elizabeth Campus Complex.
