The Lead: Roanoke College travel to Guilford on Saturday afternoon. Fresh off their first win over Hampden-Sydney in eight years, the Maroons looked to get off to a 2-0 conference start. Guilford took the doubles matches, 2-1, and held off the Maroons for the 6-3 win.
Highlights:
- Jack Fishwick and Grayson White picked up an 8-6 win at #1 doubles.
- Fishwick added an individual win at the #1 singles spot with a 7-6 and 6-1 win over Elijah Gregory.
- At #3 singles Thomas Hodges dropped the first set, 1-6, before rallying to win the second 6-1 and go on for the 6-1 win in the third set.
Up next: In two weeks the men are scheduled to travel to Lynchburg to face Randolph College. The match scheduled for March 13 is slated to start at 1:00pm.
