The Lead: Roanoke traveled to Florida during the holiday break to compete in the, two-day, 12-team, Citrus Invitational. RC finished with 86 points, finishing seventh in the 12-team field. Augsburg (215) claimed the top spot with Castleton (159) finishing runner-up, and Cornell (129) third.

RC highlights:

• 125: Mac Cafurello – 2^nd place. Cafurello advanced on a technical fall, followed be a pair of decisions to earn a spot in the final. Nathan Rankin (univ. of the Ozarks) defeated Cafurello by a 4-1 decision.
• 133: Sean Hall – 2^nd place. Hall won two consecutive decisions before earning a spot it in the finals with a major decision. Andrew Perelka (John Carroll) was too much to overcome as Hall fell in the finals and received runner-up points.
• 141: Morgan Robinson – 5^th place. Robinson picked up back-to-back falls to earn a spot in the quarterfinals. After falling to Jarrod Brezovec, Morgan won by pin and decision before falling just short in the consolation semifinals to earn a fifth-place finish.
• 174: Sawyer Dereszynski – 6^th place. Dereszynski won by decision in advance of picking up a technical fall. After falling to Carter Sorenson (Augsburg) in the quarters, Sawyer battled back in the consolation bracket to make it to the semifinals. Dereszynski would just miss a spot in the finals when he lost a 4-2 decision, claiming sixth in the division.
