The Lead: Roanoke upended Virginia Wesleyan 7-2 in ODAC Women's Tennis action on Saturday.

How it Happened

• Roanoke led 2-1 after doubles thanks to wins by Madeline Herring and Jessica Kennedy over Katie Staman and Audrey Bally at No. 1 and an 8-2 Carolyn Kitsock and Janny Alvarado at No. 2.
• Kennedy would then earn a 6-2, 4-6, 10-7 win over Christine Zalameda at No. 1 singles.
• Kitsock would also earn a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Bally at No. 2 singles, while Herring was a 6-2, 6-1 winner over Staman at No. 3.
• Alvarado won 6-4, 6-2 winner at No.4 singles, while Arabella Goralski topped Lyric Hinton 6-3, 7-6 at No. 5.

Up Next: Roanoke will be off until the ODAC Tournament which starts on May 1.
