The Lead: Roanoke won each match going away as the Maroons topped ODAC foe Sweet Briar 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

How it Happened:

• The Maroons dropped just two games en route to capturing all three doubles matches. Madeline Herring and Jessica Kennedy downed Emily Wandling and Lacey Tucker 8-1 in No. 1 doubles.
• Janny Alvarado and Carolyn Kitsock won their match at No. 2 doubles 8-1, while Kelly MacCluen and Arabella Goralski took the No. 3 doubles match 8-0.
• RC won five of the six singles matches in straight sets, highlighted by a 6-0, 6-2 win for Carolyn Kitsock at No. 2.
• Madeline Herring topped Tucker 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2 singles, while, Alvarado was a 6-0, 6-0 winner over Ruth Lechner at No. 3.
• Kennedy needed three sets to beat Wandling, taking the No. 1 singles match 6-4, 3-6, 10-8.
• Goralski and MacCluen each picked up wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles, respectively.
