The Lead: Men's Tennis notched its first win of the 2019 season with an 8-1 victory over Shenandoah.
How it Happened:
- Roanoke won all three doubles matches to take and early 3-0 lead in the match. Grayson White and Jack Fishwick took an 8-4 decision over Darian Diaz and Bryan Harris at the No. 1 spot.
- The duo of Alston Martin and Michael Morrell swept Kyle Denning and Nick Powers 8-0 at the No. 3 spot.
- Roanoke won five of the six singles matches with all five wins coming in just two sets.
- Fishwick won 6-0, 6-1 over Harris at No. 2 followed by Jack Doriss taking a 6-2, 6-1 decision over Kyler Apgar at No. 3.
- Thomas Hodges (6-2, 6-2) and Martin (6-1, 6-2) earned wins at the No. 4 and No. 5 spots.
- Morrell swept Khai Vien 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 6 spot to close out the scoring.
