The Lead: Randolph-Macon notched a 3-1 ODAC win over Roanoke on Saturday evening in Ashland, Va.

How it Happened

• Roanoke got on the board at the 8:51 mark of the first quarter when Claire Eisenhart was able to snare a rebound of a shot and scored to make it 1-0.
• R-MC's Maria Teresa Ambrogi-Torres tied the game at 1-1 at the 19:40 mark, then struck again just under two minutes later to give the Yellow Jackets a 2-1 lead.
• The Maroons had a chance to tie the game just over two minutes into the second-half but Caroline Diehl's scoring attempt was denied by a defensive save from Sydney Duimstra.
• The Yellow Jackets managed to put a goal on the board with just 58 seconds to go in the third quarter when Elizabeth Jacobs scored off a feed from Ambrogi-Torres.
• R-MC led in shots 16-11 and held a 9-3 edge in penalty corners.
• Emma Clark made six saves in the cage for the Maroons.
