The Lead: Roanoke scored a 5-2 ODAC Women's Tennis win over Lynchburg on Sunday.
How it Happened:
- Roanoke went up 2-1 after doubles play as Catherine Lee and Madeline Herring topped Lilli Altenburg and Ellen Druebbisch at No. 2, while Janny Alvarado and Carolyn Kitsock were victorious at No. 3.
- Avery Smith got a win at No. 3 singles, topping Sarah Wyly 6-0, 7-4, while Herring topped Altenburg at No. 4 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
- Carolyn Kitsock knocked off Druebbisch 6-3,6-3 at No. 5 singles as well.
- Christina Harris was in on both of LC's points, winning 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and partnering with junior Wyly for an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles.
- Two matches weren't finished after the Maroons earned the five points necessary for the dual win.
