The Lead: Roanoke won its eighth match in a row with a 7-2 ODAC victory over Sweet Briar on Friday.  

How it Happened:

• The Maroons jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles following wins by Catherine Lee and Madeline Herring at No. 2 and Janny Alvarado and Carolyn Kitsock scored an 8-0 victory over Lexi Culley and Lacey Tucker at No. 3.
• Roanoke would then win five of the six singles matches, led by a 6-1, 6-3 win from Lee over AJ Lukanuski at No. 2.
• Avery Smith topped Anna Colvin 6-0, 6-3 at No. 3 singles, while Herring beat Samantha Yew 7-5, 6-1 at No. 4.
• Alvarado picked up a victory at No. 5, while Kitsock was victorious at No. 6.
