The Lead: Women's Tennis fell to Washington and Lee in the season-opener on Saturday afternoon.
- The Generals took the doubles matches with Michelle Fleenor and Lauren Hassell defeating Jessica Kennedy and Avery Smith 8-1 at No. 1.
- At No. 2 Catherine Lee and Madeline Herring dropped an 8-2 decision to Emily Kochard and Anna Kreynin.
- In the singles, Fleenor defeated Kennedy 6-1, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot.
- Carolyn Kitsock fell to DeeDee Aeschliman 6-1, 6-2 at No. 5 and in the No. 4 spot, Herring batted Gabby Moore but fell 6-1, 6-1.
