R-MC Rallies Past RC Women's Tennis 5-4

The Lead: Randolph-Macon rallied to top Roanoke 5-4 in ODAC Women's Tennis action on Saturday.

How it Happened

The Maroons jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead, sweeping double action. Emily Henderson and Colette Wibaut won at No. 1doubles, while Madeline Herring and Catherine Lee won at No. 2 and Carolyn Kitsock and Emma Barker notched a victory at No. 3.
Henderson then staked RC to a 4-0 lead after she topped Delmas 6-3, 6-3 at No. 1 singles.
R-MC rallied and tied the match at 4-4 after winning No. 2, No.3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
The match came down to the No. 6 singles match where RC's Lydia Dey won the first set over Toni McDonald 6-2. McDonald rallied winning game two 6-2 and 6-1, giving R-MC the win.

Up Next: Roanoke will be back in action next Sunday when it hosts Shenandoah in an ODAC match at 1:00 p.m.
