The Lead: Berry scored in the 86th minute to break a tie and go onto a 2-1 victory over Roanoke in the first day of the Roanoke Invitational.
How it Happened:
- The match was scoreless until the 19th minute when Addy Cronan set up Samantha Schoppy to give Berry the lead.
- Sara Celec got the equalizer for Roanoke when her goal in the 43rd minute tied the match at 1-1.
- The match stayed that way until the 86:12 mark when Berry's Maggie Midkiff scored the eventual game-winner.
- RC held a 7-5 edge in shots and 4-3 in corner kicks for the game.
- The Maroons forced Berry keeper Logan Williams to make four saves, while Sydney Sherman made one save for RC.
