The Lead: Costly and untimely errors help give Penn State-Harrisburg the 8-3 victory over Roanoke on Wednesday afternoon.
How it Happened: - Roanoke jumped on the board first in its half of the fourth inning after Kevin Oakey doubled to score Dean Hermanson from first base.
- PSU-Harrisburg used two four-run innings in the fifth and seventh innings to gain an 8-1 advantage.
- Lucas Nowlin hit a lead-off double to start the seventh inning and would score later after he tagged up and scored off of a sacrifice fly by Sean Guida.
- Hermanson reached base three times on the afternoon going 1-for-2 at the plate with two walks and one run scored. Oakey was 1-for-3 with a double and one RBI and Matt Sedlock went 1-for-2 with one RBI coming off the bench.
- Seth Bradley started the game for the Maroons on the mound and threw four shutout innings and had one strikeout.
- For PSU-H, Kevin Kremer was 3-for-4 at the plate with two doubles and one RBI. Cole Backenstose picked up the win on the mound for the Nittany Lions after throwing six innings and giving up one run.
