The Lead: Roanoke scored eight first-half goals en route to a 10-0 ODAC win over Sweet Briar Saturday afternoon in Salem.
How it Happened:
- Eight different Maroons recorded goals with Linnea Kremer and Sierra Lynn-Johnson each tallying a pair. Twelve RC players notched at least one point in the victory as well.
- RC outshot SBC 43-0 and had the only seven corner kicks of the match. Caroline Thomas made 16 saves in a losing effort for the Vixens.
- Jillian Barnard got RC on the board just five minutes into the match, taking a pass from Sara Celec and betting Thomas.
- Johnson's goal in the 18th minute proved to be the first of six goals in a 10 minute span with Kremer capping the run with a back-to-back strikes in a 53 second span to make it 7-0.
- Laura Garbarini closed out the first-half scoring with a goal in the 44th minute before Kaitlyn Mason and Celec each scoring in the first four minutes of the second-half to make it 10-0.
