The Lead: Orestis Ilias had two goals and
Tyler Carbaugh had a pair of assists to lead Roanoke past Shenandoah 4-0 in ODAC Men's Soccer action on Saturday evening in Winchester.
How it Happened: - RC got the only goal it would need in the 27th minute when a Carbaugh pass was headed home by Adam Yesbeck to make it 1-0 Maroons.
- Roanoke doubled its lead just under 10 minutes later when Carbaugh setup Ilias for the first of his two goals.
- Ilias struck again six minutes into the second-half when he took a pass from Patrick Daum and scored to put RC up 3-0.
- Brandon Bauer notched his second goal in as many games with an unassisted strike in the 72nd minute.
- RC outshot SU 11-3 and held a 7-2 edge in corner kicks.
- Cole Sinclair picked up his second shutout of the season as the RC defense held SU to three shots, including zero in the first half.
