BRIDGEWATER – The Roanoke College men's tennis team fell to Bridgewater College 6-3 on Monday afternoon. The Maroons finish the regular season with a record of 8-6, 4-6 in ODAC play, while the Eagles have a record of 11-8, 6-3 in ODAC play.
The Maroons finish the regular season winning three of its last four ODAC matches. Roanoke currently ranks seventh in the ODAC, looking at a trip to the ODAC Tournament, which takes the top eight teams in the conference.
Roanoke picked up a win at #1 doubles as
Joey Ross and
Jacob Morris defeated Christian Lynn and Mike Cable in a tight 9-7 match.
Lewis Young and
Chris Teeple won three games in the 8-3 loss at #3 doubles to San Churchill and Drew Hubble.
In singles action, Roanoke picked up wins at #1 and #5 singles.
Joey Ross bested Brandon Larson in three sets, 6-4; 2-6; 6-4.
Matt Kessler and
Jacob Morris both fell at #2 and #3, respectively in three sets.
Chris Migliarese won at #5 singles over San Churchill, 6-3; 7-6 (7-2).
The Quarterfinals will take place at the higher seeded teams on April 20
th. The seeds will be released over the next couple of days at ODACOnline.com
