Box Score HARRISONBURG – The Roanoke College volleyball team was victorious over Eastern Mennonite University on Friday evening, by the score of 3-0 (25-22, 25-11, 25-23).  The Maroons now have a record of 18-7, 5-3 in the ODAC, while the Royals are 7-18, 0-9 in ODAC play.

With five matches to play in the remainder of the season, the Maroons are sitting at 18 wins.  They are two wins away from having a 20-win season, a mark that has been reached under the tutelage of Blair Trail five times before.

The Maroons were led in kills by Macey Tyree who finished with nine, while Sarah Long, Logan Graves and Allison White had six kills each.  Jessica Block led all players in assists with 17, with Alexandra Martin right behind her with 15 assists of her own.  Martin and Ryan Hedgepeth led the Maroons in digs, picking up 12 apiece.  Also in double-digit digs was Kylah Blackmore with 11 and Tyree with 10.  Sarah Long had five of Roanoke's 10 bloc assists, while Tyree came in second with two.  Block put away three points via service ace.

For the Royals, Regan Cook led the team with six kills, with Kayla Smeltzer, Sara Ritchie and Jillien Puster finishing with four kills each.  Erin Mays and Jasmine Johnson tied for the team lead in assists, dishing out 11 each.  Katie Miller led all players in the match with 18 digs, while Skyler Johnson was also in double digits with 11 digs of her own.  Mattie Lehman and Mays finished with two service aces each.

The Maroons return to action on Saturday, October 25^th, as they are in action at Bridgewater College.  That match is scheduled for a 11:00 AM start.
