Box Score EMORY – The Roanoke College volleyball team fell in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action to Emory & Henry 3-1 (25-17, 19-25, 25-17, 25-22) on Thursday.  The Maroons now have a record of 13-7, 2-3 in the ODAC, while the Wasps are 10-8, 2-3 in ODAC play.
 
Roanoke won the second set from Emory & Henry, besting the Wasps 25-19.  The Maroons led in the first set through being tied 10-10, however Emory & Henry rolled away with the remainder of the set.  The Wasps took early leads in the third and fourth sets, which gave them an early advantage in winning the respective sets.
 
Brooke Bostwick led the Maroons in kills with 13, also leading all players in the contest in the category.  Kylah Blackmore tallied eight kills, while Macey Tyree put away seven.  Jessica Block was the team leader in assists with 19, followed by Alexandra Martin with 15.  Tyree led the squad with 18 digs, while Ryan Hedgepeth picked up 15 digs.  Allison White was also in double digits in digs with 10.  Sarah Long notched five Block assists, while Logan Graves tallied five.
 
Emory & Henry was led by Tristen Pennington with 12 kills, while Anika Constantinescu and Kennady Thomason each finished with 10 apiece.  Maleah Neely led all players in assists with 39.  Four Wasps finished in double-digits in digs, led by Emily Hinshaw with 19.  Pennington and Hannah Doss each finished with 13 digs apiece, while Breanna Wallen had 10.  Thomason was credited with five block assists of the 14 in the category by the Wasps.
 
The Maroons return to action on October 9^th as they take on Methodist University on the road.  That contest is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
