The Maroons are off to their best start in ODAC play since they went 7-0-1 in the first eight conference games of 2011.  The Maroons have an all-time series record of 28-15-5 against the Tigers, with a record of 5-5-2 since 2005.

Roanoke's lone goal came at 25:56 as Tyler Carbaugh played a rebounded Marc Dinkel shot into the right side of the net.  The  goal served as Carbaugh's fourth of the season, tallying now 15 points with his five assists.  Dinkel now has seven assists on the season, which currently leads the ODAC.  Carbaugh's tally would be the only goal of the night for either team, as Roanoke picked up the 1-0 victory.
