The Maroons scored the first goal of the game at 17:09 as Fortune Sibanda came into the box from the left side, firing a shot from about 18 yards out, and finding the back of the net.  He was assisted on the play by Marc Dinkel, with his fifth assist of the season.  Bridgewater scored an equalizing goal at 21:55, when Alex Farrington buried a shot off of a penalty kick, locking the game at 1-1 through the end of the first half.

Roanoke pulled ahead at 55:13, when Marc Dinkel hit a low through pass from the left side to Robby Lentine, who went one-on-one with the keeper for the tap in.  Dinkel would tally his own goal at 66:35.  Dinkel struck a free kick with his left foot from about 20 yards out, sinking the shot in the near post for the two goal lead.  Roanoke's 3-1 advantage held through regulation, as the Maroons were victorious for the fourth time in ODAC action.

The Maroons outshot the Eagles 18-6 in the contest.  Sibanda, Dinkel, Brandon Bauer and Garrett Eldridge all led the team in the category with three shots apiece.  Tyler Carbaugh finished with two shots, one of which was on goal.  Cole Sinclair played all 90 minutes in net and tallied two saves.

Bridgewater was led in shots by Alex Farrington, who fired off two in the contest.  Bridgewater also led in saves 7-2 as their goalkeeper made all the team saves in 90 minutes of play.

The Maroons return to action on Saturday, October 4th as the team takes on Virginia Wesleyan College on the road.  That contest is scheduled for a 3:00 PM start.
