Box Score BRIDGEWATER - The Roanoke College volleyball team fell in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action to Bridgewater College 3-0 (25-12, 28-26, 26-24) on Wednesday.

The Maroons now hold a record of 7-7, 1-4 ODAC, while the Eagles are now 5-6, 3-1 in ODAC play. Roanoke is now 12-50 all-time in contests against Bridgewater.

The Eagles led by as many as four in the second set, with their final lead of that size at 17-13. It was at that point that the Maroons began closing the gap, locking the game up at 18-18. However, the Maroons could never take the advantage in the set, and battled until the final score of the set, 28-26.

Bridgewater took a lead at it's largest point of nine at 18-11. The Maroons started to close the gap with three kills by Allison White and two Mackenzie Tyree service aces. Roanoke even took the lead at 21-20, and a lead of two at 23-21, but Bridgewater finished the set on a 5-1 run, taking the third set from the Maroons.

White led the Maroons in kills with 11, followed by Rachel Kilinski with eight and Sarah Long with five. Mackenzie Tyree continues to lead the team in digs, notching 10, while White tailed her with nine. Shannon Stone topped the team with 21 assists, to continue her role as the team leader in the category.

The Maroons return to action on Thursday, September 20^th as they travel to face Ferrum in non-conference action. That contest is scheduled for a 7:00 PM start.
