The Roanoke Maroons shut out the Sweet Briar Vixens on Monday afternoon, 9-0, in Sweet Briar, VA. The victory improves the Maroons to 9-3 this season, 4-1 in the ODAC, while Sweet Briar falls to 2-6, 0-2 in conference play.

Roanoke claimed every singles match in straight sets allowing the Vixens to claim just six games. Laura Dodson (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring) improved to 8-3 with her 6-0, 6-2 victory in number one singles. It's the junior's first win in straight sets since March 7^th against St. John Fisher. In doubles play, Dodson and Corbin Leitch (Richmond, VA, Steward School) walked away with the 8-2 win at number one singles. The Maroons' top duo is 9-1 when teamed up.

Roanoke is back in action in their fourth straight road match on Tuesday afternoon as they face cross-town foe Hollins. Match time is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
