Box Score SALEM - The Roanoke College volleyball team overcame a first set deficit to defeat Hollins University, 3-1 (22-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-19) on Wednesday evening. The Maroons are now 11-8 overall and 2-5 in the ODAC while Hollins now stands at 4-13, and 0-5 in ODAC play.

Macey Tyree led the Maroons in kills with 12, followed by Sarah Long who put away 11. Alexandra Martin was the assists leader in the match, dishing out 19, while the overall team leader, Shannon Stone, tallied 18 assists. Four Roanoke players put up double-digit figures in digs, with Mackenzie Tyree topping all with 31, followed by Macey Tyree (19), Martin (14) and Stone (13). Mackenzie Tyree also finished with three service aces.

Ally Reed led Hollins with 15 kills, while Haley Ortiz finished with 23 digs. Lela Moore dished out 32 of the team's 35 assists.

The Maroons return to action October 5-6 as they host the Maroon Invitational in the Bast Center Gymnasium. The Maroons open play against Ferrum College at 5:00 PM on October 5th.
