SALEM, Va. --- Roanoke College head coach, Susan Dunagan, was named the ODAC Coach of the Year for the second-consecutive season announced at the ODAC Women's Basketball Tournament Banquet Wednesday evening. Jordan Gholson (Louisa, VA, Louisa County), Caitlyn Long (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring)and Jaleesa Osborne (Ordinary, VA, Gloucester)were named First-Team All-ODAC selections.

Dunagan, in her 29^th year of coaching the Roanoke College women's basketball program, picked up her ninth conference top coaching award. Dunagan has led her team to the top of the conference for the second-straight year and the Maroons are currently riding a 14-game win streak, which is the longest since 1996-97. Including this season, Dunagan-coached teams have won 20 or more games 16 times. She has won 560 career games to-date, and leads the Maroons in search of a conference-best 14^th ODAC title in the 2010 tournament. She is the state of Virginia's all-time wins leader and is one of only nine Div. III coaches to eclipse  over 550 wins.

Gholson, a junior, is on the All-ODAC team for the second-straight year after earning honorable mention honors last season. She leads the Maroons in scoring (12.2 ppg) and is second in both rebounding (6.5 rpg) and free-throw percentage (85.7%). Her field goal percentage (52.3%) tops the ODAC along with her 51 blocked shots, which is ranked among the top-50 in the country. The 6-1 center has led Roanoke in the scoring column 10 times and rebounding on nine occasions this season. The Louisa High School product holds the career (162), single-season (67 in 2008-09) and single-game (10 vs. Lynchburg, 2009 ODAC Quarterfinals) blocked shot records at Roanoke. The 10 blocks against the Hornets also set an ODAC Tournament single-game record.

 

 

Osborne, also a senior tri-captain, made the All-ODAC squad for the second-straight season. A second-team selection a year ago, she averages 8.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game at the point guard position. A two-sport athlete as an All-American on the track & field team, Osborne leads the team in both steals (54) and free-throw percentage (88.6%) while second in assists (76). Her assist-to-turnover ratio is ranked among the top-25 in the nation, as her 37.3% three-point percentage (19-of-51) leads the Maroons. She is ranked among the ODAC leaders in free-throw percentage (10^th), assists (5^th) and steals (7^th).
