LEXINGTON, Va. --- The Roanoke College women's tennis team dropped their first match of the season on Tuesday afternoon to #2 Washington and Lee, 9-0. Washington & Lee improved to 6-1 overall and 5-0 in the ODAC, while Roanoke slipped to 4-1, 0-1.
The Generals swept the Maroons in all six singles matches in addition to all three doubles matches.
In singles competition, Burke,
Lucy Webb, and
Julia Hausman all lost 8-2.
Kelsey White fell to Jen Snyder in the number one spot, 8-1.
Roanoke will travel to Emory and Henry for their second ODAC match this season on Wednesday Mar. 18. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
