FERRUM, Va. --- The Roanoke College women's tennis team defeated Ferrum College 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon. The Maroons improved their undefeated mark to 4-0.

The women swept their doubles matches for the fourth consecutive time this season in addition to victories in the number two through five singles.

The number one doubles team of Kelsey Burke and Kristen Nagy won 8-2 while the number two team of Julia Hausmann and Lucy Webb defeated their opponents 8-3. Brittany Matherly and Ruth Condro defeated Ferrum's number three matchup 8-5.

Burke dropped the number one singles match 4-6, 4-6 while Nagy (#2) defeated her opponent in three sets, 6-2, 7-6, 7-4. Webb, Hausmann, and Matherly in the three, four, and five spots each won in two sets.

The women travel to Lexington to face Washington & Lee on for their first ODAC matchup on Mar. 16 at 4:00 p.m.
