SALEM, Va. --- McKenzie Garst (Roanoke, VA, Cave Spring)had three assists and Carmen Graves (Christiansburg, VA, Christiansburg)scored two goals to lead Roanoke past Bridgewater, 6-1 in the ODAC Quarterfinals Saturday afternoon at Kerr Stadium. The Maroons up their record to 12-6 and will advance to the ODAC Semifinals. The Eagles end their season with a 11-6-1 record.
The 6-1 score has equaled the 2000 and 2007 meetings as both the largest win margin and most goals scored in the series. The Maroons are now 12-0-1 against the Eagles, including 2-0 in the ODAC Tournament. The women are now 31-21 all-time in the ODAC Tournament.
Two of Garsts' assists went to Graves, who scored both off headers from corner kicks. Garst, who is the team-leader in assists with eight on the season, is currently second in the conference in that category.
