Greensboro, N.C. --- Roanoke College defeated Guilford, 3-1 in the final ODAC match of the season. The Maroons improved to 23-3 overall and finished 7-3 in ODAC play. The Quakers dropped to 5-22, 2-8 in the conference.

The 23 wins are tied for the second-most in school-history and is one win away from tying the school mark held by the 2002 team (24-6). The win tonight clinched the best record in school-history with a 23-3 mark.

The women cruised to a 25-13 win in the first set before toughing out the next frame, 25-23. The Quakers won the third set, 25-23 before the Maroons ended the match with a 25-11 score to improve to third in the current ODAC standings.

Kelsey Largen had a career and team-best 20 kills on the evening to go along with eight digs. Her 48 attacks tonight placed her 10^th in single-season attacks at Roanoke with 791. Maggie Wagner finished with nine kills and a season-best 21 digs to lead Roanoke.

Caitlyn Long finished with four aces and 39 assists to pace Roanoke. She is now seventh all-time in career aces with 107. She also moved her way up two spots to fourth all-time in single-season digs with 338. She is already the record-holder in that category with 477, breaking her own record in digs as a freshman with 419.

Marcy Conner finished with 12 kills and a block assist while Emily Martin had 18 digs. Conner is now ninth all-time in games played (331) and one match away from sixth all-time in career matches (114).

The women will rest before taking on Virginia Intermont on Tuesday, Nov. 4 in Bristol, Va. The Maroons are 5-1 against VIC and will be their first meeting since 1981. Game time is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
