Harrisonburg, Va. --- The men's basketball team used a 41-17 run in a span of 17 minutes to cruise past Bridgewater, 76-55 on Wednesday evening. With the win, the Maroons improved to 14-3 overall and 8-2 in ODAC play. The Eagles dropped to 9-6; 4-5 in the ODAC. Roanoke is off to its best start since 1999-00 (15-3).

th game in its 94-year history.
The Maroons shot 52-percent from the floor while holding the Eagles to 31%, 28-percent in the second half. The Maroons hit 50-percent from three-point range in the second half, including
Ben Shrader who hit back-to-back treys in the second half to help the second half surge. He is now has 152 three's for his career, which is enough for fourth all-time.
The Maroons jumped out to a 13-5 lead, led by junior
Zach Milton, who scored seven of his nine first half points.
The Eagles countered with a 21-2 run over the next ten minutes to give them a 26-15 lead. A 8-1 foul advantage for Bridgewater helped the first half run.
Roanoke responded with an 18-6 to end the first half. Senior guard
Keith Carter hit an open 12-footer with :35 seconds remaining to give the Maroons a 33-32 lead at the half.
The Maroons shot 48-percent in the first half while holding Bridgewater to just 34.5% from the floor.
Roanoke continued their momentum in the second half. The Maroons opened with a 23-11 run over the next 11 minutes to extend their lead, 56-43 with 9:18 remaining as Bridgewater's Bill Leatherman called timeout.
The Maroons rolled the rest of the way, increasing their lead to 23 points before the final buzzer sounded.

Bryant Lee '95 for seventh all-time in career rebounds at Roanoke. He finished with his third double-double of the season with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Carter tied
James Pennix '88 for fifth all-time in assists with 255. He finished with a career-high 17 points and three assists.
Milton had 11 points, nine in the first half and tied his career-high with four steals. Junior
Curtis Peery had 16 points and nine rebounds to pace the Maroons.
The Maroons will play at home on Saturday, Feb. 2 as they host Washington & Lee. The Maroons took a 71-64 decision on Jan. 13. The Maroons have won 25 of the last 27 meetings, including the last three which all were decided by less than 10 points. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.
